Photos of Apple’s new Nanos and more
In what’s become an annual fall product parade, Apple CEO Steve Jobs took the stage Tuesday morning at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts to show off his company’s new wares. Highlights include a redesigned iPod Nano with an accelerometer, a lower-priced and upgraded iPod Touch, a new iTunes with a “Genius” feature that recommends songs to users, and updated software for Apple’s mobile devices that “fixes lots of bugs.”

The iPod Nanos come in a “Nano-chromatic” rainbow of new colors and feature a “shake to shuffle” feature as a result of an accelerometer. The 8GB model sells for $149 and the 16GB model sells for $199. Both will be shipping by next week.

The new Nano borrows the tapered edges from the iPhone 3G. Apple also added curved glass over the screen, a new user interface, and the same accelerometer found in the iPhone and iPod Touch.
