What kind of domains you should buy

This item was filled under SEO

Hello, you might have seen people a lot of people selling out PR domains in many webmaster forums. Some people have a portfolio of their domains with PR. There is still a lot of confusion whether PR helps to rank in Google. Google assigns the PR depending on the backlinks.

What do PR domains selling individuals do?
It’s quite simple to understand this concept. A person just provides a backlink with high PR to his domain and in the next PR update, the pagerank increases. For ex: A person buys a new domain and then maybe comments on a do-follow blog with PR7 and in the next update, he gets a PR5 for the domain which he had used while commenting.

So it’s simple, these domains don’t really rank but only have a high just because of a couple of backlinks to their domain. That’s how it works. Then these people sell these kinds of domains for high price and people buy it seeing their Pagerank.

What kind of domains should you buy?
While buying domains you should first check its age and have a look at its backlinks. Domains with average PR (i.e. PR3-5) are fine. But before that you should check the number of sites pointing to this domain and their PR too, because ranking depends on high quality backlinks. If the backlinks are less but are of high PR then that domain will surely rank well in the search engines.

I’m no expert. I would like your comments too..

Thank You!
